Michelle Stevens has owned and operated two Early Childhood Educational programs for over 30 years. While operating the two programs Michelle earned a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Cambridge State University and later, she earned her master’s degree in early childhood administration from West Chester University. Michelle obtained her Certified Instructor credentials from Pennsylvania Quality Assurance System (PQAS) in early 2018. She has worked as a professional development trainer for past 10 years including teaching Child Development Associate (CDA) Coursework.
Michelle continues to be a part of several mentoring initiatives in the Early Childhood community assisting other organizations reaching quality early care and education. Her personal philosophy is “All children deserve the opportunity to be acknowledged as special and unique and it is our obligation to make them feel that way.” Michelle demonstrates her commitment to her philosophy by staying connected to the field of early care and education in whatever role she is needed.
The mission of Stevens Supportive Educational Service is to provide professional development training while supporting the goals and needs of each practitioner, with the goal of producing early childhood educational leaders. Our mission for our practitioners is to provide high-quality learning practices education for all practitioners.
Our vision is to be an entity that strives to continuously maintain standards above state requirements, provide quality professional development training for practitioners and parents. Stevens Supportive Educational Service provides community resource information, build community partnerships and follow a framework of consistent Department of Education methods for the benefit of all families and early care educators.
We believe each child deserves the opportunity to be acknowledged as unique and special. Our organization will help each practitioner educate children to develop their fullest potential by helping them accept, respect and acknowledge differences between others as they learn to apply skills to their life.
